Have you realized Christmas is basically here? Less than two weeks away. Yikes! I was thinking about this and how this weekend is practically the last one to get the home ready to enjoy the decorations at least a little bit before it’s time to take it all down, so I thought about sharing the wreath I just made for my front door. It’s an eucalyptus wreath (you know how crazy I’ve been about it), and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Plus, it’s actually pretty easy to make, so you can get your hands on it this very weekend! 😉
Los materiales que necesitas son:
– Aro para bordar
– Alambre (floral, de preferencia)
– Pinzas
– Tijeras para cortar las ramas
– Ramas de eucalipto
You need:
– Embroidery hoop
– Floral wire
– Wire cutter
– Scissors
– Eucalyptus branches
Making it is really easy. You just take the branches, one by one, and use the wire to hold them to the hoop.
If there’s any branch to cut, you cut it, or you can try to arrange them as you wish. I like it simple and natural, so I don’t mind if some branches get a little messy. 🙂
Repeat the steps until you finish putting branches around your hoop and it’s good to go!
I love how it looks on our door, it’s so pretty and happy! I love its color, smell, and delicate forms.
I love using natural greenery and leaves in my wreaths for many reasons. First, they look amazing. Second, I can change them each year, without generating pollution. Once Christmas is over, I can take the leaves or branches off the hoop and throw them away happily, keeping the hoop for anything I come up with later. Actually, you can also use a hanger, like I did last year. You can use any greenery you like, not only eucalyptus, but I recommend using plants that keep their shape and color as they dry, like cedar or magnolia (you can see my wreaths for the last years: cedar wreath, pinecone wreath, pinecone and magnolia wreath.
Enjoy your weekend!
P.D. Participando en el finde frugal de Marce.
