Watercolor was my first love in the art world. It was the first colored tecnique I ever learned and was swept away by it. It’s so immediate, so transluscent, so proximate. Its colors are so pure, like water in the ocean. I love taking the brush into the water, then onto the color and watch it get absorbed by the paper… it is hypnotizing. That’s why I’ve been keeping its track as it becomes a strong trend in the decor world, and today I’d like to share some photos of how watercolors leave the paper and invade our walls! From subtle to intense and fun tones, I hope they inspire you to kick off this week with the right foot!
¡Feliz semana!
Actually, none of these spaces has a real watercolor. The first are photomurals, made with images of watercolor paintings, that’s why they look like paper. The one with the blue strip is made with paint, and I love how the blue was diluted, simulating a watercolor effect. The last one, though, is much more creative (and expensive, if you ask me), because it is a rug, hung on the wall. I love its design! Of course, if you love DIY like me, you’ll agree this is the perfect DIY project. A little paint and brushes can turn into something amazing, like these! I think I might try it at home 🙂 Do you like the watercolor wall trend?
Happy week!
