(Como les conté hace poco, todavía tengo varias historias que contarles de mis aventuras por Buenos Aires, pero he pensado en irlo haciendo poco a poco para no saturar la programación 🙂
He de confesar: una de las cosas que me tenía más entusiasmada de volar a Buenos Aires era el tener la oportunidad de conocer frente a frente a amigas entrañables que hasta el momento sólo conocía a través de sus blogs. Y eran muchas. Es una cuestión que va más allá de ponerle rostro a un nombre (muchas veces ya has visto fotos de ellas), sino que se trata de hacer tangible una amistad bastante real pero que sólo había sido a través de las pantallas. Quizá sólo aquéllos que tienen blogs me lo puedan entender, pero para mí era algo muy importante, tener la oportunidad de verlas, de abrazarlas, de pasar un rato con ellas. NO de conocerlas, porque ya nos conocemos después de leernos, comentarnos y básicamente compartir nuestra vida en la distancia.
Así que cuando Nadia y Vero se pusieron en contacto con las demás bloggers y organizaron un cafecito en Palermo, yo me puse MUY contenta. Fue una tarde increíble en la que platicamos mucho. Originalmente habíamos quedado en vernos en Ninina Bakery, pero cuando llegamos lo encontramos así:
I must confess: one of things that got me excited about flying to Buenos Aires was having the chance to meet my dear friends I had only met through their blogs. And there were many of them. It’s a matter that goes way beyond putting a face to a name (I have seen their profile pictures), but it’s more a matter of turning a real friendship into a tangible one. Perhaps this is something only bloggers or people who have met their soulmate online can understand, but this was a huge deal for me, having the opportunity to look at them, hugging them, spending time with them. NOT getting to know them, because we already did, after reading, commenting, and basically sharing our life in the distance. So when Nadia and Vero got in touch with the other bloggers and organized a gettogether at a coffee shop in Palermo, I got VERY happy. It was such an amazing evening, talking and giggling. We had originally intended to meet at Ninina Bakery, but when we arrived, we found it like this:

…así que decidimos cruzar la calle y llegar a Cocu. Pero antes, tomemos un momento para admirar el lugar, ¿sí? ¿No les parece increíble la idea de la pared? ¡Son moldes de papel para pasteles! Y ¿qué tal las lámparas de cobre, el negro y blanco con la madera? Ya lo saben, ¡me encanta todito!
…so we decided to cross the street and go to Cocu Boulangerie. But first, let’s take a moment to admire the place, shall we? How about that wall? Did you notice the baking paper cups? And the copper pendants, black and white killer combo + all that wood? You know how much I love it all!
Cocu también tenía mucha gente, pero encontramos una mesa grande en el fondo, que parecía estarnos esperando… allá a lo lejos, ésas somos nosotras 🙂
Cocu was crowded too, but not as much, and we were lucky to find a large table that seemed to be waiting for us. There, in the blurry distance, that’s us 🙂

Pero además un estilo divino… ¿ven la pared negra, de pizarrón? ¿Y qué tal la barra, hecha con puertas viejas? ¿Los focos colgando, sostenidos de la tubería?
And then it’s amazing style, ¿see that blackboard wall? ¿The old door bar? ¿The light bulbs hanging from a pipe?
