Viviendo los últimos días de calor

Como les comentaba hace poco más de un mes, fuimos seleccionados por LG para probar su nueva línea de aires acondicionados: Art Cool Inverter.

Nosotros nunca habíamos tenido un aire acondicionado en casa ya que en Guadalajara no se necesitaba, hasta hace algunos años en que el clima ha cambiado y los veranos se hicieron terribles.

Lo primero que me llamó la atención fue su diseño de líneas muy limpias y simples,  con una apariencia tipo espejo que se ve muy agradable.

As I told you a little over a month ago, we were chosen by LG to review their latest line in air conditioners: Art Cool Inverter.

We had never had an air con in our home (you didn’t use to need one living in Guadalajara, until a few years ago with the weather changing), so the first thing that caught my attention was its simple and sleek design, with a mirror-like surface which does make it look nice.

Sin embargo, debo ser sincera. Justo cuando nos lo instalaron, empezaron los días de lluvia en Guadalajara y el calor insoportable de mayo se transformó en un clima de lo más agradable: ni frío, ni calor… hasta hace 3 o 4 semanas que volvió. La lluvia no se quitó por completo, pero sí lo suficiente para que evapore la humedad, y el calor se apodere de las casas.

I must confess, after they installed it, the rainy days in Guadalajara begun, and the heat transformed into the perfect weather for me: rainy days with no heat, nor cold… until 3 or 4 weeks ago, when the rain slowed down, enough to evaporate humidity and have heat all over again.

Así que, ahora sí, después de estar usando el Art Cool Inverter en las últimas semanas, les puedo contar mi experiencia ya con su uso, y no sólo con su apariencia:

Para empezar, dormir con el aire encendido ha sido de lo más delicioso en estos días (especialmente para el caluroso de J). ¡Adiós calor! Pero además, el Art Cool enfría rapidísimo: en 3 minutos el cuarto ya está mucho más fresco que afuera y es muy silencioso. Y con la función de “sleep”, la temperatura se mantiene con el mínimo de energía, disminuyendo aún más el sonido (prácticamente nada de ruido), y apagándose a la hora que elegimos.

Usar el control remoto ha sido bastante fácil, aún para mí que suelo confundirme con los controles de los aires en los hoteles, aunque todavía estamos en el proceso de descubrir qué niveles y modos son los que nos permiten tener un clima agradable usando la menor cantidad de energía.

And it is now, after some weeks of using our Art Cool Inverter, that I can share our experience about using it and not only its looks.

For starters, sleeping with the air con on has been the most amazing thing for us (especially for Mr. J). Zero heat. Better yet, the Art Cool Inverter cools really fast: in just 3 minutes the room feels so much cooler and fresh, and it is very quiet. And with the sleep function, the temperature remains the same with the least amount of energy consumption, lowering the noise even more (to almost nothing at all).

Using the remote control has been quite easy for me (I tend to get confused with the ones in hotel rooms), although we are still figuring out which mode helps us have a nice climate with the least amount of energy.
